When I use "drag and drop" using Selection tool, some expressions are duplicated. Consequently, in my Technique category I find numerous duplicated expressions, everytime I perform D&D.
Why does it happen?

Take a look at the beat attached slur in the attached Finale document.
For me, this slur does not “keep same size”.

Something as hairpin would be good to have.

Here is the problem, again.
The extension line of the previous syllable is to low, because the next word starts low. How to move only that extension line upward?

Anyway, you can slur to a note, and then hide the note.

FYI, in his very late opus Richard Strauss write for violin F# (under open string).
And not using scordatura.
And that is not mistake.

In Ligeti's Violin Concerto, Bassoon plays G5 (G-clef, g on the top space), and politely writes above it "Est ist möglich!"

So, don't complain to much.

Why can't slurs be attached to beats?
I want to use slurs "to nothing" within glissandos, but every time I resize the measure they don't stretch.

Yes, both the Staff Style solution AND Smart Shape solution will follow the layout.

I try to shift Lyrics extension line, but I cannot shif them. The problem I face is that I have a long line, that goes into the next system. I have numerous measures that have a repeating line inside. The measures have hidden rests, but the line means "keep playing".
Since the score is very large it easily happens that measures are "hidden when empty".
What can I insert in "empty" measures to prevent from hiding?

I recall people in the past trying to get old versions from MM and being told that none were available. It doesn't hurt to ask though. I am puzzled as to why you don;t want to try installing GiFF from Finale 2014. In what way will it mess up your system if it doesn't work? They are only sound files...

I can't fugure it out. It always keeps playing. Both Expressions and hairpins.

The GiFF libraries that come with different versions of Finale had different samples, but, I don't see why it wouldn't work. Run the F 2014 installer and select only the Garritan option and see what happens. What can it hurt to try? I didn't want to experiment, and mess with the installation, but w...
