Re: Inserting flat symbol into Score Manager/"Score Name" Insert with Raleway font
It's not a matter of need, my friend, as it is a matter of consistency. It becomes a habit.

For some strange reason Finale turns off the right click mouse button in text blocks.

Re: Inserting flat symbol into Score Manager/"Score Name" Insert with Raleway font
Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, and Delete seem to work, though (but not Ctrl+X), so you don't need the edit menu. Really? None of them work on my machine and have never worked on any computer I have ever had using Finale. If you highlight some text and right click on it, it doesn't kick you out of the text block?...

Re: Inserting flat symbol into Score Manager/"Score Name" Insert with Raleway font
Well you can do it but you need to use Finale's edit menu instead of the familiar MS copy, C, paste, V, delete, X, contextual menus.

Your problem is as many folks have not enough space. I have corrected the space issue and made a new file that looks very good. However I can't u/l to your Dropbox. Re: Inserting flat symbol into Score Manager/"Score Name" Insert with Raleway font
OK had some coffee and if I am now in the right place, it can't be done in Score Manager but it can be done.
Simply edit it with the Text dropdown. I hope I am understanding the problem. However each occurrence will need the same editing.

Re: Inserting flat symbol into Score Manager/"Score Name" Insert with Raleway font
Normally I would not be at my computer at this time. Today I happen to be working on a piece that needs to be out today.
I guess a good thing since I am not understanding, to dense today, exactly where you all are talking about.

Is this where the OP is asking about. No problem here either, its just a text block and subject to the same controls.

Re: Inserting flat symbol into Score Manager/"Score Name" Insert with Raleway font
Is there a way I can have two fonts in that "Score Name" function?
Unless I am misunderstanding you there certainly is a way to do this. You can have different fonts in the File Score Name or any ordinary text block as indicated here.

Re: reverb
I would suggest, and I do it myself, you d/l Audacity. It is a free open source app and has way more controls over your sound files. Plus it makes mp3 export file.

Re: chords overwrite measure numbers
Perfect Layout will do it but PL has some issues with measure numbers so it is best to set the values to something like I suggested. In fact this was a suggestion from Jan Angermüller the creator of Perfect Layout. It works well.

Re: chords overwrite measure numbers
Top staff and ignore other staffs. I use left justification with a H -.05 and a V -.456 offset. It keep measure numbers out of the way of most everything. On Start of staff I use H -.05 and V -.5
This is how it looks.

Re: MakeMusic at the NAMM trade show
Do neither of you not think it is important or at least good to know that Finale can run well? And, I fully believe the major reason some folks have issues is, ... it’s likely their own fault and/or a consequence of their lack of knowledge And that, my friends, is why we are here. There is no high e...

Re: MakeMusic at the NAMM trade show
Honestly if I had as many complaints and gripes as you do I would certainly be one of the "dwindling" Finale user base. I am still amazed how may forum users, and you seem to be the first every time, get upset when someone actually has few to no issue with how Finale works for them. Yes, it does dep...

Re: MakeMusic at the NAMM trade show
I also listened to the NAMM You Tube. I am and have always had the thought that the basic engine that drives Finale can not be messed with for fear of screwing up other things. Unwanted and unexpected consequences. At least to the point of a major remake and even perhaps a completely new core. And t...

Re: Lost in space
It all has to do with the basic knowledge of Finale. We, here, on the forum must assume the person isn't versed in Finale. When I teach the 5th graders to play an F on their brand new trombone, I can't simply say it's in 1st position. Explore your horn. The bottom line is whether you are a teacher a...

... the ability to "copy and paste" page layouts for a "certain page" in the score.
You might look at RPG Copy Page Layout plugin.
