If the (full version) TGTools are properly installed, a new menu "TGTools" appears to the right of the plug-ins icon. See the attached screenshot.
That's at least how it is in Finale Mac 2009.
(there are a few TGTools plugins included for free in Finale, which are under the plug-ins menu itself)

Re: Transposition help: wrong octave.

Select the whole staff. In the menus (In 2002, I am not sure, maybe it's in the Mass Edit menu ?), find "Transpose", and select down an octave. In recent versions, the "8" key is a shortcut for that action. The staff name can be changed in the Staff attributes window (staff tool, double click the st...

Re: How to change playback pitch from a=441 to a=443Mhz?

We have at the academy finale2006. Your answer didn't help. It is still 441:( I think this function has been included in Finale for a long time, so I'm surprized to hear it doesn't work in Finale version 2006. Just in case, here is how it works in recent versions : test : enter 2 identical whole no...

Re: export audio from only a part of the score

does anyone know of a quick method for only exporting part of a score? or alternatively, is there a way i can loop a section for playback? Peter's suggestion is the one I also would use for your first question, it is fast. You can also create a new score, and copy/paste or insert the excerpt of the...

You don't mention which version of Finale you are using. Maybe it would be a good idea to add some info in your signature. Have you tried to change the tuning with an expression with playback effect "Pitchwheel" ? In another forum, someone, to raise the tuning from "A = 440 Hz" to "A = 442 Hz", had ...

Re: multimeasure rest with go to coda sign at end

I agree that this is an annoyance. If I remember correctly, whenever it happened to me, I deleted the "to Coda" in the part, removed and recreated the 8 measures rest and recreated the "To Coda". In each part, not funny... I haven't seen the problem in Finale 2010 yet, but I wouldn't bet it is not t...

Use "New Instrument" to create a new instrument, and make sure you give it a new Midi channel and a patch. 2) The midi patch of a staff can be changed locally (thus starting with the default patch, and switching to a...

Finale has 4 layers, each with a different colour (which you can change in "Program Options->Display Colours"). Each layer could thus be used for a specific string, in theory. But the colour applies not only to the noteheads, but also to the stems, etc... This is for the screen. Normally, a Finale s...

Re: How do I insert symbols in Coda text strings.

As far as I know, Repeat texts can only use 1 font. Text expressions, on the other hand, allow the use of several fonts in one single expression. So, I'm afraid you have to use text expressions to get what you want, or a combination of a repeat text with a text expression. At least in this case, you...

In the "full" Finale, it is possible : for the text expressions, dynamics, there is an "Assign" button, which allows you to select : this staff, all staves, or a group of staves you can define. Also, this technique helps : hold/drag the mouse over several staves vertically, the expression will be ad...
