Good suggestion. Page layout tool has always been a mystery but I've been able to move measures before and it's puzzling why it's now stopped. Probably should also mention that the original file was a XML file from another source and there might be some issues there.

It seems that allows me to only move a system, not one measure.

Where do I go to find the "manual page break"?

My experience has been that the SoftSynth sounds are pretty lame. I do have access to the samples in Logic, which I am also not too fond of, and I have the Miroslav samples though they're a lower bit rate.

Make sure the box next to part names is checked in staff attributes for each part. Also, doing the insert as suggested above with the word "score" on the score page should give you the instrument name in each part when printed.
