Re: Question about drum notation
When I ctrl+ click over a note or rest these do not select, the whole bar select.
Just before that, when I pass over the staff and ctrl is pressed, mouse pointer keep blinking with a little CD image, like if something is loading from a CD (don't even have a CD reader installed)

Re: Question about drum notation
I'm having problems when hiding rests that automatically fills into layers.
ctrl, click on rest and then H if I got it right.
When I ctrl+ click over the staff something seems to load endlessly and rest do not select.
What am I doing wrong?

Question about drum notation
Hi
I have this simple kick/snare bar (see 1. on left)
I simply want to add 4 hi-hat notes on each quarter
I'm sure there must be a cleaner way to write it down than this (see 2. on right), especially without using ties.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: PDF doesn't display colors
File/Print.../Display Colors is checked, I don't have a printer installed though, and if I attempt to print a document Finale crashes.
PDF is still black and white.
Anyway I don't need printed colors, I only need colors in the exported PDF.

PDF doesn't display colors
Hello
When parts are exported to PDF they are all in black and white.
I'd like them to show the light blue writings and other colors.
"Use Score Colors" is selected.
TIA

Changing the length of all notes - Time signature question
Hello Perhaps this is a strange question, I will try to be as clear as possible, hope you will understand. Erroneously I've made a piece in 4/4 at 45 bpm using quaver notes when I should have set the time at 90 bpm using quarter notes. Is there an easy way to double the length of each note in the en...

DS al Fine
Hello
I know how to place the DS and Segno signs, but I can't figure out how to instruct Finale to play till the Fine sign and stop.
It seems logic to me to check the "stop on pass1" in the Fine assignment, but it didn't work.
TIA

Re: Chords fonts question
What happens if I reinstall completely Finale? All my existing documents (that I kept of course) will be displayed fine except for the newly chords I created right? So I just need to recreate those, minding to set the desired chords font right at the beginning this time. Are there settings that can ...

Chords fonts question
Hi Changing fonts suffix does not affect existing documents, and when chords fonts dimension is increased with "Scale chords by %" chords letters overlaps and are almost unreadable. How can I increase chords (name and suffix) of existing documents without starting all over? I'm reading about Finale ...

Re: TAB show stems only in specific parts?
Hello Peter, under Staff attributes/ Stems settings I unchecked all and now there is enough space on top for the chords. Can you tell me if I can use Rhytmic Notation in some misures, and standard notation in other misures of the same staff? Do I set up this in Define Staff Style? It would be great ...

TAB show stems only in specific parts?
Hello there Is it possible for a guitar tab to show stems only in specific parts? I have a piece with an opening arpeggio section where I need room on top to display chords images and another strummed part that I like to notate with stems. I don't care for playback In alternative is there a way to e...

Repeat problems, pls help
Hello all, I'm new to Finale and this forum. I have a piece with several repeated parts and a D.S. mark toward the end that bring to few measures after the start. The parts repeat just fine how they are supposed to do but when the playback restart after the D.S. sign all repeat instructions are igno...
