Re: Can't export pages as JPGs/Graphics
Yes, one file per page. They don't appear on Windows quick access "recent files," though, and I didn't expect them too. I don't know if that's a clue or not. Do you have enough free space?

Re: Can't export pages as JPGs/Graphics
I can export JPEGs from your file.
In the Export dialog, are you using "Generate names from" or "Prompt for each name"? If the former, try the latter. It may be that you're looking in the wrong place. Or, use Windows to search for your files.

Re: help with v26
Windows knows my Roland is there but Finale doesn't. I've got an ancient Midiman keyboard, circa 2004, and Finale 2014.5 sees it. I have Finale 26 but haven't fired it up yet. I wonder if it's 32/64-bit related and I'm in for a nasty surprise. Did you have 2014.5 and did your keyboard work? (64-bit...

I'm not against making improvements in this area. It is coming across that you are. You seem, I could be wrong, against any improvement over what is there if it can be done somehow. Even if you have to use a seperate program to accomplish it. You are indeed wrong. I would love to see some kind of c...

Re: Finale v26 download
Read the manual section "To enter music in step time without MIDI" You can also use the Speedy Entry tool to enter music in step-time without using a MIDI device. Use the number keys on your keypad to specify the durations of notes, just as you normally do. But to specify the pitches, you can use th...

Re: Finale v26 download
If the Yamaha is not in the list of input devices, it seems like it's a MacOS issue, not a Finale issue. You might look on the Yamaha website and see if there's a software update.

Is there an output "buffer size" setting? On Windows, making that small makes the latency shorter.

Re: Finale v26 download
It's essentially impossible to help you at a distance with that. It's likely just the audio/MIDI set-up; I'm not surprised that the defaults don't work. If I were you, I would bring up the audio settings in your old version and compare them with the new version. Absent that, experiment with various ...

Re: gaming the system
I'm not dismissing [collision avoidance], and vertical spacing of staves is one area I do have to do by hand. I would like Finale to do more. But putting dynamics, hairpins, rehearsal marks and text on top of one another and on top of notes and accents, are things that can generally be avoided will...

Re: The Wrong Staff Moves
You did find a bug, but you don't need the Option key. That's for selecting multiple staves or for constraining dragging to one direction--neither of which is needed--and in fact is what activated the bug. With the staves hidden and that measure selected, Finale somehow got confused as to which stav...

Re: The Wrong Staff Moves
I see the problem now. Don't click in the first measure first. As I said in the third post in this thread, just click the handle and drag to move the staff in that system.
I don't see how you can drag without holding. What do you mean, Zuill?

Re: The Wrong Staff Moves
Have you been doing something other than dragging the handle?
On Windows, if you click the handle, it will select all the measures in that staff in that system. Is that what you mean by "every measure on that page"?

Yes--you lose any preferences you may have changed from the defaults. But you can save a copy before trying it, and if it doesn't fix it, put it back.

Yeah. I've given up on page numbers in Finale entirely. I add them in PDF.David Ward wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 8:08 amUnless I've missed it, in Finale it's still more of a fiddle than desirable adding different page offsets to linked parts. I believe both Sibelius and Dorico do this easily. As always there are several ways round this, but…

Re: JWLua: working with rehearsal marks
I guess if you could make bookmarks from rehearsal marks they would appear on the drop-down menu, which would perhaps be an advantage over JWNavigate. Thanks for posting this. I like to have rehearsal marks centered over the measure's left barline, but for double bars I have to manually add 6e to th...

In the Shape Designer (for either expressions or articulations), you can incorporate external graphics.
