Hello. I'm transcribing Chopin's C sharp minor Nocturne and am unable to correctly notate measures 21-22, 25-26 and other similar places in the score.
In these places the treble staff is in 3/4, and 2 of its 3/4 measure are presented over a single bar of 4/4. I've been able to achieve independent time signatures for the staves but can't figure out how to force 2 bars of 3/4 over a single bar of 4/4.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

It can be done, but it's tricky since the each staff needs to have the same number of bars. You can see below how I started with that, then used staff styles to hide the barline and time signatures on the lower staff.

Thanks very much for your suggestions. That is definitely complicated but I'll give it a try with that approach.

(If you are in the process of learning Finale, you might want to start with something simpler.)
