Posting URLs as a newbie

Post by HaraldS » Fri Dec 30, 2016 9:47 pm

Dear Admins,

although I was active on this forum some 18 years ago 8) I had to register newly recently. No problem, but I can't post URLs - I get "You are not allowed to post URLs yet". Although it worked one time (and perhaps works now too), in follwoing posts it worked no longer. I understand this prevents linkdropping and spamming, but it makes things a little harder than necessary, you know...how long does it take to be allowed to do so?

Harald,

As you surmise, it's to keep the spambots out (a little). I'm not even sure what the required number of posts is, before you have full access, but it isn't too many.

And welcome (back!)
