MUS files in Edge browser

Hi! I use Finale 2000 and have about 500 SATB scores on my website (which I think I am not allowed to mention). My question is that the Edge browser in Win10 does not recognize the mus extension in the links and does not pass the mus file to Finale Notepad to open it; instead it opens the binary in the browser. This does not happen in other browsers or OSs. Can anyone advise how to get it to download and open it in any website-visitor's copy of Finale or Notepad? Thank you, Les.
