sound while editing

In Allegro there's sound with every note while editing. Can we put that
off? (I can switch off my boxes, but I have those on for other reasons).

In the MIDI menu you can choose Internal Speaker Playback and turn it Off.
Or you could just hit the Mute button (or turn volume down to 0)
