I have a song with 4 verses. In three of the verses the pickup measure is two eighth notes with different pitches and in the other one it is a quarter note with a single pitch. How do I notate this in the leadsheet in Printmusic?

How should the layout look?
Could you attach a scanning of the manuscript?
Depending on the actual layout the answer may very well be that you will need the “full Finale” - since PrintMusic can not create the desired layout.

Peter is correct. You need the full Finale to hide the changes in time signatures.
