Can I enter alternating pitch tremolos in PM 2011? If so, how?

You could only do it by entering the notes and trem as text expressions. It won't play back, of course.

Here's an example in PM 2011.

Thanks for the quick response. It's OK with me if it's a print-only marking. I've looked at the expression tool and expression designer dialog, and it's not being obvious how to create this. (I'm new at this)

Bill,
It's 3 separate entries: two half notes (MaestroWide font H) and the tremolo (EngraverFontSet font, D or E)

Take a look at the article X-Noteheads in PrintMusic at http://www.specialmillwork.com/finaletips.htm to see how to use the separate elements to do what you want.

Thanks for the tips. Making progress. Next obvious question is how to get other notes to flow around this, along the lines of the 2 quarter notes you have after the 1/2 note tremolo.

Enter two quarter rests where the tremolo is, and hide them with the H key.
