I want to insert a triplet rhythm on beat 4 in a measure of 4/4 time. I select the triplet tool and define it as "3 eighth notes in the space of 2" but it will not let me insert the last eighth note of the triplet unless it's value is smaller than the eighth note (??) and when I continue to the next measure it fills in the space with a 32nd rest at the end of the previous measure with the triplet in it. I have also tried defining the triplet as "3 eighth notes in the space of 1 quarter" and have the same dilemma. Why is it not working?
