Can we change notes from bass to treble clef?

Hi,

I recorded my piano part in Hyperscribe, but I would like to change some notes from the bass to the treble clef.
Is there a way to do that? By default, all the notes were split at 60 (middle C).

With PrintMusic, I think you will have to enter them in the proper staff, and delete them from the other. You can use either Simple or Speedy entry.

You know that you can change that split point, don't you?

Yes, but my hands cross each other many times.

If you have situations where you would want cross-staff notation, you should upgrade to Finale. PM can't do that. (If i misunderstand what you need, I apologize.) Could you post a document that show what you're looking for?

You understand correctly.

What I do now is that I record my music in my DAW, edit/
seperate both hands on two diferent tracks and export it as MIDI file for PM. That's the best way to use Finale I find.

In that case, you will need the full Finale. That's the only program with the ability to do cross-staff notation. It's easy to simply drag notes to the other staff, or use the plug-in which also takes care of reversing noteheads, moving beams, etc.

You mean we can better mass edit in Finale vs PM?

Because that's what I like when using Logic to record and edit (before going into PM). I never touch a single note. Just mass edit. I

1-record on keys,
2-quantize, quantize notes to pedal length, quantize durations,
3-split hands by midi channel,
4-fix displayed notes positions and durations,
5-send each channel to its own track and assign their MIDI channel in the track

and if I really have to, I go into Piano Roll editor (which is still simpler for me than edit single notes in Finale).
I then go in PM to add infos, chord symbols, lyrics, nuances...

Does full Finale offer similar features?

I don't use Finale that way, so I can't tell you about the mass edits. But I do know that you can do almost anything! Why not download the demo, and try it out? Then, if you have specific issues, maybe we can help you.
