Hello,
I am having a heck of a time inputting some triplet notation and I can't find anything on the forum to help. I am inputting Triplet Fill Variations in 4/4 time. Please see the attached photo of what I want it to look like. I can't figure out what notes to put in to get it to look right. On beat 4 I want 2 sixteenths, a space, 2 sixteenths and then an eighth. I've tried the tuplet tool so many different ways but seem to get too much space between the sixteenths or straight sixteenths without the space. Urgh.

Can you help me figure this out?

Thanks,

Nancy

If I understand you correctly, your word "space" means a secondary beam break.

In Other Words:

You are getting this layout in Finale PrintMusic:

But you want this layout:

Secondary beam breaks are possible with the "full Finale", via the Special Tools Tool.

However, I don't think that PrintMusic can do secondary beam breaks, sorry.
