Name that tune!

This is another one of those "Name that tune" problems. For a long time, this particular tune has been going through my head, my having heard it around 1969 or thereabouts at which time I had made a tape recording of it from the radio (or possibly a vinyl LP?). I'd played back the recording enough times to memorize the tune forever, but I have no clue what it is or where it is from. Can anyone identify it?
