Hello. I am using the current PrintMusic for Mac.
I have many old mus. files created in Finale (2001) and normally I am able to open them in Printmusic, but sometimes I get this message:
'Finale Printmusic cannot open the selected filetype. Please select another file'
Is there some workaround I can use?
Thanks in advance.

The old .mus documents may be corrupted, and beyond repair.
But here are some ideas:
1) Make sure that each document has the .mus file name extension.
2) Are you sure that each document is indeed a Finale document?
Some other programs also use the file name extension .mus.
3) You could try opening the document from within the Finale program, via
File menu > Open…

Thank you Peter. I know they were all created in Finale, I shall check the extensions. Sometimes they convert and other times they don't. Go figure!
