Problem with automatic rests

Hi,
I've just started to use PrintMusic 2014 on a Windows machine. I'm editing a score in 3/4 in simple entry mode. For some reason, in certain measures, PrintMusic adds a 16th rest automatically at the end of the measure after either a dotted half note or three quarter notes. Like 3 should equal 1+1+1+0.25.
Why is that and what should I do to avoid this strange behaviour?
