Hi everyone,

I am trying to re-arrange a hymn for SATB voices with Gregorian plainchant notation style but with 5 lines.

I have been reading the forums everywhere that the only way to do it is by hiding the music measurement and make a stemless note.

I was wondering since I don't seem to be able to hide the music measurement for my version of Finale, which is Finale PrintMusic 2014, I was wondering if editing the attributes of the stem feature is available?

At the moment, I'm using a lot or eighth notes in a 12/3 music measurement. It looks very unsightly and can come off confusing for the singers. MAking those notes stemless would be of great help.

Thanks!

Not possible in PrintMusic. Sorry.

12/3? How do you do that? What is a 1/3 note?

Chant can be faked in Finale but not PrintMusic.

Thanks to a recent update of the Medieval Plugin, many forms of plainsong can actually be notated in Finale again.

Medieval 2 is compatible with Mac OS 10.7 and later (including Sierra 10.12).
The Windows version is coming soon, scheduled for the 2.1 release.
Medieval 2 runs with Finale 2012 and later versions (including Finale 25). It is recommended (although not required) to upgrade to Finale 25 for an optimal experience with Medieval 2.
