Repeat 2x

I've searched the forum, but haven't found this. In the 2nd ending of a song, I've got a two-bar tag that repeats 3x before the last 3 bars of the song.

I'm not sure how to represent that in Finale PrintMusic. I've put a forward repeat at the beginning of the 2 par tag and a backward repeat at the end of the second bar of the 2-bar tag, but I'm not sure how to say 'do it one more time'. I'm really not sure how it would "officially" be written. When I write by hand, I would just put a "2x" notation (meaning repeat twice for three times all together).

Could someone tell me how this should be written?

Play 3 Times is clearer for me at the beginning of the passage, rather than Repeat 2 Times at the end.

Thanks for the reply Zuill. How do you make the notation "Play 3 Times" in Finale PrintMusic? Will the built-in playback understand it?

I don't use PrintMusic. I don't think playback can be accomplished in PrintMusic as you want, but I might be wrong. I thought your question was about the best way to communicate to the reader as to what to do. Someone who knows PrintMusic will have to chime in here about playback.

Zuill, still a useful reply - thanks. I just ended up inserting a textbox (it won't play 3x but the sheet music will look correct).

Are you using PrintMusic? Your info says 26, which would be the full Finale. PrintMusic is stopped at 2014.

According to the User Manual, you should he able to do it:

Sorry for the confusion. The day I signed up on the Forum I was in the process of buying Finale v26, but decided against it as I'm just making sheet music. I've got Finale PrintMusic 2011. I'll update my info. Thanks for pointing it out.

Forgot to add that your link to the Finale User Manual had exactly what I needed! Thanks Miker!
