Need help inputting notes with midi keyboard

I have an older version of PrintMusic. I've always just inputted notes onto the page using the computer mouse. I finally have gotten around to purchasing a new keyboard so I can midi in notes now. However, even tho when I go to MIDI setup, and put in the correct devices for input and output - now what? I go to the "speedy" icon, and can hear the keyboard playing thru my computer, but no notes are being entered on the page. Can you tell me what I'm ooing wrong? I read the Manual but there's nothing in there to help me.

Presuming that the MIDI keyboard is sounding through the PC, we'll go to the second step: have you set up PrintMusic to look at that MIDI interface? In PM 2009, there is a top-level menu "MIDI", and under that "Device Setup", and "under" (well, it's an arrow) that "MIDI Setup", which then has menus for MIDI In and MIDI Out.

If the MIDI in device is listed as "None", then PrintMusic is unaware of your MIDI keyboard.
