Uneven display and printing

Many of my music files, when displayed on the screen or printed, show a different amount of space between systems. Some have are close together and some a have a lot of white space.

The staff tool moves all of them and moves them in a random manner to the extent that staff lines over lap the lyrics in some cases. Is there a way to even up the display?

I tried the Shift, Alt and Ctrl keys while I moved them with the mouse. Redraw Screen and Update Layout appear to have no effect.

I cannot figure out what starts this happening. It might be when I insert or delete measures; or it might be when I lock systems.

In the Page Layout menu, you can use Space Systems Evenly. For more exact control, Page Layout menu>Edit System Margins... lets you specify numerical settings.

Thanks, Miker, it worked. (Of course it did, right?) I totally missed that Page Layout icon.
