I am hoping someone has run across this. I know there are some REAPER users hereabouts, so if one of you can assist, I'd be very happy.
I have several pieces composed in PM2011 which have up to 17 staves. Many have tempo changes, but not all. To get the compositions into Reaper, I do the following: Export as individual parts, then export each part as a .wav file, which is then imported into Reaper on it's own track. And that, folks is where my life gets very difficult.
Although each imported .wav file is inserted at exactly the beginning of the recording, they vary hugely in playback. Tempo, whether it changes or not over the length of the piece, goes out the window. Some tracks play back properly, some appear to begin at the correct tempo, then change on their own, some start out at different tempos, some seem to combine both issues into a single track. I have even gone back to the individual PM exported parts and made sure that the tempo marks are identical in each part. Didn't help.
As a result, playback becomes cacophony instead of polyphony.
Any ideas? What may be causing the variations?
PM 2011 .wav files losing cohesion??

Perhaps, when you extracted the parts, the tempo changes did not extract with them. Check the playback of the extracted parts, to see if the tempo changes migrated or not.
