Alternate notes sizes.

I'm arranging a song in Print Music 2011 that allows for some improvisation, depending on the prowess of the singer. I've written some alternate "suggested" rifs that the vocalist might use, and placed them on layer 2. Is there a way, in Print Music, to make the alternate notes on that layer smaller than the ones on layer 1, so that the vocalist will understand that they are merely "suggestions?"

If I'm not using the correct terminology, please forgive me I possess more talent than knowledge and skill (but only slightly more)
