I've been using SongWriter a bit lately, and I've had to create a few songs that I needed to turn into midi files. After saving them as a midi file then opening them up in other midi music programs, I notice the tempos are inconsistent. If I have a song that I only have the tempo set to 120, in the midi file, it will have tempo drops and divots of up to 5 or 6 bpm, sometimes more where it shouldn't. I cannot understand why it does this. I end up having to clean it all up in Cakewalk, and I'm not happy about it.
I do not use any tempo markings or changes in the creation of the music. I also do no human instrument input as I am writing it all free-hand with the notation creator.
Anyone know why this is?
