Hello,
I have Songwriter 2012. I use grace notes as flams, but when I do play it, then the rhythm is completely off. For example, I write flam eighth note eighth note eight note flam eighth note eight note eighth note flam eighth note eighth note. When I play it, it's not in rhythm at all, sort of seems like it's swinging, even when the human playback is on normal. However, if I turn the human playback off, then the rhythm would be much better, BUT then any kind of percussion roll wouldn't work for me. Please help?

You're pretty limited, with SongWriter. What you have is probably as good as it's going to get. Have you tried different HP presets - Jazz, Marching Band, etc.?

The full Finale would have more adjustment options in the playback settings, but only you can decide if it's worth it to you. You can download the demo, and play with it.

Ok, thanks! Yes, I did try Marching Drums, Jazz, etc. but they didn't make it much better unfortunately.
