I am trying to enter a bass guitar line in real time from a MIDI keyboard, however I am unable to enter the lowest notes. I have tried to transpose the notes using my synth but that does not seem to make a difference.

Is there a quick way to transpose the notes either as they are entered or afterwards? I really don't want to have to move each note down an octave one at a time.

Thanks

Simon

You can enter your line an octave higher than where it should be, then select the region and use the "Transpose" function (Utilities menu). The keyboard shortcut is 8, to go even faster.

Thanks, the 'Transpose' option is on the 'MassEdit' menu and I don't know how I missed it before! I searched the help for transpose but the search didn't find anything!

Thanks very much for your help

It moved to another menu recently, maybe in 2008, the Utilities menu.
