i've asked about this before and Peter - your genius brain had answers. this is a little different. due to wanting different sound dynamics in each hand on the piano - when i was using the finale demo, Peter said i could do that by adding another instrument - the same piano in fact and choosing a different channel from its normal channel 1. then looking at the staves and changing staff 2 to the new channel - say channel 1 for treble and channel 2 for the bass in the piano. Which I did and which worked. of course this was in the demo and the instruments were the smart synthesizer.
now, with the real finale2008 and trying to use the GPO - i did all these same procedures for the steinway grand - adding second piano for channel 2, using right hand staff as steinway channe 1, and left hand as steinway channel 2. no matter what i do, the left hand does not playback. then i tried it with the synthesizer sounds - and it works.
is it NOT possible to do this on garritan? anybody got any ideas?
i'm open to all opinions.
