Hello -

I recently bought Finale 2005 after using NotePad for some time. My main reason for upgrading was to be able to print parts from the score.

I just wrote a piece for viola & piano and clicked on "extract parts" - the program automatically separated the treble clef piano line from the bass clef piano line, so now I have two separate piano parts (top & bottom). Why did this happen? How can I fix it? I just want a normal piano part!

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Set the two lines of the piano part as a group (notesystem menu). Then you can extract this group (on the right side of the dialog box of "extracting parts").
