adding attachments

I have tried and failed in adding attachments to some of my post. I have tried .doc and .docx and also .txt. I wasn't able to add these types. What types are allowed?

Are you trying to add screenshots? Just about any graphic format (png, jpg) will work. If you want to add a Finale document, it must be compressed, and under 100 KB.

Hi miker,
I was trying to add a text file with instructions that I was using that weren't working. I had to paste it into my post so all is okay. I just wanted to make the post a bit smaller.
Is there any way to add .docx and .txt files as attachments?

First compress the file(s), e. g. as .zip.
This forum accepts compressed files.
