to write 2 notes from 2 layers not 1 exactly above the other

I am writing G for layer 1, and F for layer 2.
When I see and print the score , G is exactly above F, but that's not very clear to read.
What can I do to make appear one of the notes a little bit on the right to the other one? I mean, in order to look as they appear when I write the accord C-E-F-G in in only layer.
Appreciate your answers.

Spacing options -- include "seconds" in the checklist.

To avoid collision of seconds

I did that:
Options
Document Options
Music Spacing
x Avoid collision of seconds

But it does only work when writing both notes with the same layer.

When writing wit Layer 1 for the first note, and Layer 2 for the second note, they still collide.

I'm not seeing a way to attach the file I just created, but trust me: I entered four G quarter notes in layer 1 and Fs in layer 2. I highlighted the measure in Mass Mover, hit 4 for spacing, and the Fs all moved over. No idea why it's not working for you. If you want to visit the MakeMusic forums, you can post your question and attach the file there.

Document Options/Layers:
in the last line there ist the option to check or uncheck "use music spacing" (I do not know the correct translation, I have a Geman version, but you will find it). I must be checked on each layer you use. Maybe that's the reason why it does not work with your file.
Hope this a solution.

Thank you. It's all right with:

1)Mass Edit tool highlighting the meausure, and then

2)Hit key 4
