Using Command (Apple) to select non-adjacent things?

Hi is there a way to select things that aren't adjacent, like various things you want - anything in fact, like certain notes that you want to re-spell enharmonically but aren't next to each other, or dynamics that align in some staves and not others, so you want to select only certain things ...
This option is available in almost ANY program - when you select files in OSX, or when you select regions in most sequencers like Logic, you use shift to select things that are next to each other, or CMD to select things that aren't next to each other, one by one.

Surely this is possible somehow in Finale? Otherwise how do you edit things quickly without having to do everything one by one???

Thanks!

Sorry, non-contiguous selection of notes/rests is not possible in Finale.

Users have requested the option of non-contiguous selection for many years.
Perhaps in the next Finale version…

However, by using click and Shift-click you CAN select items that
- have handles,
and
- belong to the same tool.

Examples:

You can not select a chord symbol and an articulation simultaneously (since they belong to two different tools, namely the Chord Tool and the Articulation Tool).

When you are in the Chord Tool, you CAN select multiple chord symbols via click and Shift-click.

When you are in the Articulation Tool, you CAN select multiple articulations via click and Shift-click.

When you are in the Lyrics Tool Tool, you CAN select multiple syllables via click and Shift-click (Lyrics menu > Adjust Syllables).
