I imported a piece for Piano (2 staves) from a MIDI document.
The whole piece appears on 1 single Layer .
Is it possible to separate the piece into 4 voices( I mean into 4 different Layers)?

Appreciate your answers

José Oscar,

There is seldom need for using all four Layers.
Since there are two staves, I recommend that you use only Layer 1 and Layer 2, two layers in each staff.

I don't remember, what version of Finale you are using, so these instructions may not be fully correct:

Mass Edit Tool.

Select the music, and go to
Mass Edit menu > Utilities > Explode Music...

Explode the music to 4 staves.

Select the music of one staff, and go to
Mass Edit menu > Move/Copy Layers...
In this way you can move the Alto part to Layer 2.
And you can move the Bass part to Layer 2.

To copy two layers into the same staff, toggle on "Show Active Layer Only" before you copy.
