Hi, I am new to Finale. Can someone please tell me how to write a bar that has an odd number of beats? The song is in 4/4 but this one bar only has three beats and then it goes to the next bar. It doesn't turn into a waltz for that bar, it just only uses three beats.

Thanks!

Is this the pickup measure? If so, set the pickup in Document Options to 3 beats. If not, we might need a bit more information. For example, does the 3/4 show and then change back to 4/4?

I believe the solution has been discovered. The bar in question has two beats when you play the tune...I thought it was three but musically it works as a 2/4 bar which is what I will change the bar to for that one measure. Thanks!
