I am having a problem where in certain measures the dynamic markings I want look exactly as they should, and in other measures they look different.

I have tried to copy/paste the "good" ones over the others but they aren't changing.

Please refer to the attached jpeg of my score to get a better idea of what I'm having trouble with - one measure stack (left hand side measure 5) is circled and looks correct then the measure stack at measure 11 is circled, note the difference in the look of the dynamic markings.

Thanks!

Ps the align/move dynamics plug in isn't resolving this particular issue.

I'm not sure how to fix what you have. If you use Jari's JW Pattern plugin, you can apply what you want to a stack and they will be matched in length, if that is what you are trying to do.

If you like what's in measure 5 but not what's in measure 11, set up the copy filter to copy only "Smart shapes aligned to beats" and copy from 5 to 11. But note that measure 5 is wider than measure 11, likely due to some music above or below in other instruments, which will affect hairpin length.

The width difference stems from a difference in percussion parts underneath. The horn parts are exactly the same as m. 5.

Any idea how I could adjust the width of m. 11 ?

The varying width is standard practice in scores. I wouldnd't bother. In the parts, measures should automatically have the same width, more or less (depending on other measures in the system).
