A few minutes ago I had spent about ten minutes composing a post and inadvertently
touched my mouse in a way that effectively ran the "back button" and I was unable
to find any trace of what I'd written, not a draft, nothing. I didn't get a warning
saying something like "Are you sure you want to leave this page before saving or
sending this post?" Disappointing.
Is there some way around that that someone knows about? This happened once before
a couple of months ago. I'm anticipating that the answer is no. I think in the future
I should compose my posts elsewhere and cut and paste them into the forum window.
Also once before, I saved a draft, and when I came back later, I could find no
evidence of the draft. In that case I'm sure that must be a problem with me because
there wouldn't be a "Save draft" button if it were not possible to go back and
retrieve my drafts, revise them, and send them. (But I wish the quorum software
saved things automatically, sort of like Gmail does.)
Assuming I'm either stupid or blind, where can I find my drafts that I was obviously
unable to find earlier?

Did you try the forward button to go to the page you left? I have buttons on my mouse for both directions. Maybe Windows works differently. Also, I'm not sure how to use the Save draft button, but maybe that might give some options as you work so as to not lose work in the future.

P.S. I just tested it, and maybe, save occasionally as you go on a long reply and see if that may give you a viable backup in the event you go back accidentally.
P.P.S.: It even saves multiple versions of a post. That could be a good solution. Save drafts as you go, just in case.

I tried the forward button. Didn't work.
BTW, I'm on a Mac (and running Chrome for a browser).
Ah well, it's gone. I'll repost it later if I still think my question was important.

Actually, I can't find my drafts, where are they?

If you have saved your draft response to a post, using the button at the bottom of the text entry box, you will be given the option of loading that draft when you next post a reply. But I am pretty sure it only applies to the post you have drafted a response to.MichaelGlennWilliams wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 1:17 amActually, I can't find my drafts, where are they?
