I know that for a group name like
You need to make a Group name and edit as is, but such editing does not cross over to the Abbreviated Staff Names. How do I make it cross over?
I also want to edit staff names to look like this as well.
How do I make abbreviated staff names look like this as well?
I posted another forum topic about this, but so far, no one seems to be answering it, so I thought I'd post another topic with more precise questions.
How to edit staff names to produce desired results?

The so called “Full Name” means the name used in the first system.
The so called “Abbreviated Name” means the name used in all the other systems.
In the dialog box where you set the Full Name, you can also set the Abbreviated Name.
This is true for staff names, and also true for group names.
See the attached graphic which shows the dialog box for Group Attributes.

Note the option of setting a specific Position.
If you do not set a specific Position, then the default Position will be used.
The default Position can be accessed/edited via the Staff menu:

Okay, I see what you're say, but what about individual staff names? How do I edit the base lines to produce the desired result?

They have a strange arrangement, with a return and baseline shift. I’ve found the easiest way is to find one of the other staves that are named that way, in some of the orchestral templates. Copy the name from the instrument list window, paste it into your own, and edit it, there.

For users with old Finale versions I have added the same document as a PDF file.
