Merge layers with differnt rythms?

Hi everybody!
I there a way in finale to merge layers with diffent rhythms like there is one in Sibelius?
Like in the screenshot attached?

As far as I now theJW Staff Polyphony plug-in merges only note layers with identical durations...
Am I missing somethin?

AFAIK, Ray is correct. Identical durations are requested.

Maybe I don't understand the question. You're wanting to turn layers into chords? How would that look with the first measure?

Bar 1 in the screenshot in my initial post would become bar 2 in that same screenshot...
(that's the way it work in Sibelius)
