I am trying to make a 1st and 2nd Ending in Finale. I know about creating simple repeat and all that, but I have one issue The 1st ending bracket will not span to the repeat ending and I need it to do so. The image attatched shows the issue. How do I connect the 1st ending bracket?

Drag either end handle to the other to get them to join. This is done in two parts as often a first ending spans systems.

Is there another way to get them to join? I don't want that bracket showing up a little "thicker" than usual on the pdf because of two lines joining there.

Also, if I do the instruction described above, that bracket becomes orange in color.

I've never had that issue in direct print or pdf, so I'm not aware that it would be thicker.

It won't print orange.

P.S.: If you right click the handle of the orange half, and select Relink In All Parts, it returns to blue.

I did it, but the pdf export had a line overlap as a result

When you dragged, you probably moved it slightly. Select the handles of both halves and choose the option to Align them.

I get a seamless line in pdf. Maybe your pdf program is the problem.
