I am currently working on a choral arrangement. The initial format would be SATB Closed Score, however, there will be a section where the choir staves split into 4 staves.
Instead of two staves with Soprano & Alto on 1 and then Tenor & Bass on the other, each section will have a specific staff.
The way I'm used to doing it, is that the document will have both the 4 staves, and the closed score staff, and then after I finish the writing, I will hide the empty staves. I am wondering if Finale has a different way to do it that's much easier than that.

It sounds like you are using 6 choral staves, and then hiding where needed. I use 4 staves and hide where needed. Similar concept.
