Finale 25.4 (trial version) on Windows

Hi, I'm trying to write drumline music, but am having trouble with cymbal split parts. I have 7 cymbals in the line and need to write split parts for them like you would for a bass line (like the 6 drum bass line that's a default setting in Finale). When I try to add different notes and note types in the editor, the program won't let me finalize changes because the different cymbals use the same cymbal midi files, but there aren't enough cymbal midi files to go around.

How can I set up a staff so I can write these cymbal split parts? Thanks!

This way of doing things with the newer paradigm doesn't allow using a sound more than once, as in the old days. Is playback important?

Thanks! The playback isn't vital, but would be nice if possible. It doesn't sound like that's going to work though. I suppose I'll need to map other random sounds to the new notes?

That was one thought. Another one is that you can create a duplicate Layout, with the same cymbals, and use 2 Layers in the staff. You can assign a different Layout to each Layer.
