Unwanted Bar Numbers

Tiny unwanted bar numbers on every bar appear along the bottom line of my score in addition to the larger bar number at the beginning of each system which I DO want. I am trying unsuccessfully to get rid of these little numbers. As best as I can determine, the settings in the Measure Dialog Box are exactly as they should be. How do I fix this?

In the Measure menu, go to "Edit Measure Regions" and to the "Measure Number" window. Maybe there are two sets ("regions") of measure numbers, one of which could be deleted.
