For one Ensemble Arrangement I am making, I need the guitar to have the lowest two strings lowered by whole steps. Instead of E-A-D-G-B-E, it's D-G-D-G-B-E. I altered the pitch numbers, but the fret board numbers in tableture turn out weird. How do I edit it to make it make sense?

Are you having a problem with the Tablature or the Fretboards? If you edited the Tablature, and that is working correctly, that is good. However, the Fretboards are an entirely different thing. Maybe you need to post your file to show us what's not working.

Tablature settings is what I am editing. I need the lowest string to be lowered to D, and the 2nd lowest string to be lowered to G. I inputted midi numbers to the tablature settings, but now, every time I try to indicate an open D (lowest string), I input the note on a separate guitar staff, and then copy and paste to tablature, that note comes out as either fret 12 or fret 3, which does not make any sense, and is frustrating. I try to make the lowest fret "0".

How should I change string tunings in tablature?

In my experiment, I got 0 on the Tablature for the low D. Maybe you should post a file here that has your setup so we can test it ourselves.

Not having a file to work with, I have prepared a sample file that shows what I get when copying the open strings from a Normal Guitar staff to a TAB staff with the desired custom settings.

How do you copy open strings from a normal guitar staff to a TAB staff? What did you do on the file?

I set the TAB staff as you described in your original post. I entered each open string as a whole note in 6 measures. I selected the 6 measures, then ctrl-clicked the TAB staff. All 6 measures copied and showed as 0 on the correct string.

If you would upload your file, I would be glad to test it. Otherwise, I'm just speculating about what might be the problem. it might be something very simple, and we could put this to rest.

Here's a picture of my settings. Is this what you did?

Yeah, that is what I did. Interesting. I'll have to try that again and see.
