Hello
I have a score with guitar chords and fretboards that I want to transpose half step up.(C to C#).
Since there are some uncommon chords I'd like to use a capo on first fret, keeping the same fingering for all chords, rising just the chord symbol of a semitone.
For example I want to rise a C to to C#, with the fretboard displaying the C fingering with beside "Capo 1".
This seem to me a quite logical thing to do but Finale isn't of the same idea.
Is there a easy way to do so?
Help with capo chords please

Selection Tool.
Select the region with the chords you need to change to Capo Chords.
Utilities menu > Change > Chords…
In the dialog box Change Chord Assignments, set Capo at Fret 1.
Finale will display the Capo Chords in Italic.
Chord Playback will be correct (= in Concert Pitch).
You might like to add an expression that says “Capo 1”.

Enter C# and capo at fret 1. Then the display will be C with the C chord diagram. Isn't this what you want?

The whole point for a guitar player using a capo is so they don't have to think about the alteration.detlef wrote:Yes thanks but shouldn't the chords display the alteration?
