I have a divisi in my Alto line. and aI would like to move only first alto to mezzo soprano. How do I do it?

Your post title says “… from Soprano to Alto”, but your post text says “… first alto to mezzo soprano …”.
Which direction do you mean? - Soprano to Alto? - or Alto to Soprano?
I suppose that you are using the “full Finale”, right?
And you are using layers, right?
No matter in what direction you need to move the music, you can probably get it done by using these two commands:
- Edit menu > Move/Copy Layers…
- Document menu > Show Active Layer Only
(Show Active Layer Only also means Edit Active Layer Only)
