Finale Forum

Wasn't sure where to post this question...hope "Beginners" is okay.

Has anyone used both of these notation softwares?

I currently use Print Music. Finale has a limited time upgrade but I'm not sure what additional functions/features I would get. Currently downloaded a 30 free trial of Finale, but thought I'd ask those of you who have used Finale and Print Music for your opinion.

Is it worth it to upgrade to Finale?

Have you experienced occasions with PrintMusic where you wanted to do something, but couldn't? Tell us what they were, and we can tell you if Finale can handle them.

In most cases, the answer will be yes. Also, keep in mind that PM is currently v. 2014, and it's unlikely to be developed any further.

It is kinda like, will a wheel barrow do the job or do you need a F150 ?
