Flipping stem separately per note

Hi there,
I'm a fairly new finale user, and was wondering how to make a pair of notes that cross bars, where the stem flips in between the notes. I'm currently trying to make this: https://imgur.com/a/fhmts7e and I'm unfortunately already stuck on the first bar. I also have issues on bar three and so on, because of the different layers I think I need to use and I would like to connect the stems in the different layers (the F G chords should connect to the G from the upper layer)
Any tips would be appreciated and thanks a lot!

the term to look up in the help file is "cross-staff notes".
hope that helps.
sometimes finding how to do things is more a question of learning the vocabulary used by Finale than anything else.

Have you checked the Help files? Look up Cross Staff in the manual. Or, you could use the TG Tools plug-in.

In either case, you would start by putting all of those notes in the treble staff.

Select the measure, and go to Plugins menu > TG Tools > Cross Staff. Set the lower section to Split Point: F3, Pitches: Below, and Cross Notes to Which Staff to Next.

Tap Go, and that should do it. You might still have to tweak the beam with the Special Tolls > Beam Tool.

On Windows you should also be able to just highlight the note you want to move

and press Alt-down (or up)

Thank you! I was indeed unfamiliar with the right vocabulary, I'm both unfamiliar with the program and not a native speaker. This helped a lot thank you all.
