I am creating a piece for harp and require a measured tremolo (triple beam) between the upper and lower staves. The TG Tools "Easy Tremolo" tool works great between notes on one stave but does not appear to function between two staves. Any ideas as to how I can accomplish what I want?

Have you tried creating the tremolo, and then using the cross-staff note mover?

Yes, I tried this and the tremolo just stayed up on the top staff. Anything else I might try?

Let's start by making sure of what it is you want. Is the notation in the attached file even close?

A follow-up for those who like to learn more about the oddities sometimes found in Finale. The attached file shows 2 versions of the measured tremolo showing whole notes. In the first measure, there's an unwanted line (actually a stem--yes). In the second measure, I waved my magic wand and the line disappeared.

Stem reversal tool, for some reason.

But can you make the stem fragments disappear in the last measure?

After creating the tremolo all on one staff, select just the part you want to be on the other staff and press Shift+Alt+Up or Shift+Alt+Down as appropriate.

Waves magic wand. Look at the last 2. Does that do it?

P.S.: I realize I fixed it the hard way. The easier way is to enter the notes in the Bass Staff, then move the needed notes to the Treble Staff.

I was able to do it with a combination of stem direction and stem reversal. Can't say I really understand it. I guess I would have to study what the plug-in does to create the tremolo.

I tried the Shift+Alt+Down and the tremolo moved down but not enough. Is there a way to grab it and move it manually the rest of the way? I don't see any handles on it.

The 1st and 3rd bars of the example that you sent ARE what I'm looking for. I'd like the tremolo to appear in the white space between the staves. I'm hoping it will be at a steeper angle as well.

Thanks so much for your assistance. Any further ideas for me? I'm getting closer! :)

Shift+Alt is for moving the notes, and there's only one place they can go. To move the tremolo bars, use the Beam Angle tool.

Got it!! The handles appeared on the tremolo as soon as I hit the beam angle tool. Thanks so much to everyone who responded!
