A common lead sheet shape is a diamond surrounding a chord, indicating a held chord.

What would be the easiest way to implement this? Many thanks.

I used the polygon tool in the Expression Shape Designer. Once the diamond is created, duplicate it if it needs to be resized or stretched.

Without Staff Style Slashes, there's no way to know where they go rhythmically.
If you want them held, try entering , say, half notes, and use Rhythmic Notion to create diamonds IN the measure.
I've never seen Diamonds around a Chord.

Me, neither. But since the OP never responded, I don't know if that's what he wanted, or not.
