Irregular bar number fonts.

I've manually set the measure numbering in part to show on every system and set the font and it works for all bar numbers except the first ones on each system. Does anyone know why and how to change it?

There is no setting called “show on every system”,
Perhaps you mean “Show on Start of Staff System”?

This is confusing.
“Show on Start of Staff System” means “Show on the First Measure of Each Staff System”.

In your attached screen shot it looks like you have measure numbers showing on Every Measure, too.
There is a separate setting for that:
